Cloud MSP

A cloud MSP that knows databases

Design, migration, 24x7 operations and cost optimization on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and NAVER Cloud. The difference: one team is accountable for both infrastructure and database operations.

Clouds

Supported clouds

Each page covers the reference architecture and how we choose managed databases on that cloud.

Amazon Web Services

AWS

Landing zones, RDS and Aurora, DMS-based migration, cost management with Cost Explorer.

Microsoft Azure

Microsoft Azure

Landing zones, flexible server, Azure Migrate, Cost Management.

Google Cloud

Google Cloud

Resource hierarchy, Cloud SQL and AlloyDB, heterogeneous DMS migrations.

NAVER Cloud Platform

NAVER Cloud

VPC design, Cloud DB, Cloud Insight operations, public-sector review.

Service scope

Eight service areas

The same standards from design through operations and optimization.

Architecture design

Account, network and identity structure (landing zone) with multi-zone redundancy as the default.

  • Landing zone & accounts
  • Network & hybrid connectivity
  • Multi-zone redundancy

Migration to cloud

Step-by-step moves, from server rehosting to managed database replatforming.

  • Inventory & dependencies
  • Rehost & replatform
  • Cutover rehearsals

24x7 monitoring & operations

Metrics, logs and events collected and run through incident and change processes.

  • Metrics, logs, events
  • Incident response & escalation
  • Change & patch management

Cost optimization (FinOps)

Visibility, budget alerts, right-sizing and commitment reviews on a recurring cycle.

  • Cost visibility & tagging
  • Right-sizing
  • Commitment reviews

Security & compliance

Least privilege, encryption, audit logging and security-recommendation reviews by default.

  • Least privilege & MFA
  • Encryption & key management
  • Security recommendation reviews

Backup & DR

Backup policies and recovery objectives (RPO/RTO), proven by restore drills.

  • Backup policy
  • RPO/RTO design
  • Restore drills

Managed database operations

DBA-level care for parameters, performance and the version lifecycle of managed databases.

  • Parameter & query tuning
  • Version lifecycle
  • Read scaling & HA

IaC & automation

Infrastructure as code, with deployments and routine checks automated in pipelines.

  • Terraform modules
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Runbook automation

Operating model

Operating model

Responsibilities of the cloud provider, OpenDB Works and you are documented and run accordingly.

Operating model concept — response times and scope are set in the contract (SLA); this site makes no numeric commitments.

Onboarding

Onboarding

  1. Assessment

Review gaps in accounts, cost, security, backup and monitoring.

  2. Standards

Agree landing zone, tagging, alerting and runbooks.

  3. Migrate or take over

Move new workloads or take over the existing estate in stages.

  4. Hypercare

Heightened monitoring and tuning in the initial period.

  5. Continuous improvement

Monthly reports drive recurring cost, performance and security improvements.

Security & compliance

Korean regulatory & security considerations

Items Korean enterprises and public-sector customers often check are reviewed during design.

  • Region: Seoul / Korea — document where data and backup copies are stored
  • Access control, encryption and access-log retention designed with the Personal Information Protection Act and ISMS-P in mind
  • Public sector: confirm whether CSAP (Cloud Security Assurance Program) applies and which certification scope is required
  • Operating procedures that keep audit logs, change history and access reviews as evidence
These are general considerations. OpenDB Works does not act as a certification agent or guarantee certification; interpretation of requirements rests with your security team and the certification body.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

We use several clouds. Can one team manage them?

Yes. Tools differ by cloud, but we align alert criteria, report formats and change procedures into one operating model.

Do you hold cloud partner tiers or certifications?

We do not publish partner tiers or certifications on this site. If relevant, we share the current status during consultation.

What are your response times (SLA)?

Response times and scope are agreed in the contract based on size and requirements. See Support Plans for the structure.

Can we outsource only the databases, or only the infrastructure?

Yes. Scope can be split, and responsibilities at the boundary (backup, monitoring) are documented explicitly.

Shall we start by reviewing your cloud and databases as they are today?

Tell us your clouds, database versions, topology and concerns, and we will propose an assessment scope and approach.
